Charles Spurgeon (1834-1892) once said, “I consider that one of the great needs of the Church today, is not so much Christian preaching as Christian talking,—not so much Christian prayer in the prayer-meeting, as Christian conversation in the home and marketplace. How little do we hear conversation about Christ!”

Moses also stressed the value of regular conversation about and around God’s Word. “These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up (Deuteronomy 6:6,7).”
