Pastor Sattler has been the Lead Pastor of Holy Cross since March 1992, having served previous parishes in Iowa and Northwest Indiana.

He attended Purdue University , West Lafayette, Indiana; Concordia Junior College , Ann Arbor, Michigan; Concordia Senior College, Ft. Wayne, Indiana; and received the Masters of Divinity degree from Concordia Seminary , St. Louis, MO, in 1979. Pastor Sattler's family includes his wife, Meg, and 4 children.

Pastor Elling is our Emeritus Pastor, having previously served congregations in Illinois and New York. He received the Masters of Divinity degree from Concordia Theological Seminary, Springfield, Illinois.

He retired in 1994 and moved to Indianapolis to be near his son and family. He has served part-time at Holy Cross since 1997 helping with the Shepherding Ministry and some record keeping.

Pastor Elling and his wife, Selma, have 3 grown children, Paul, Mark, & David.

Scott Jung has served as our Faith Life Director since 2001, with primary responsibility for our Faith Life Ministry Team, which includes: youth, singles, Christian Education, and Small Group ministries. He also leads our “New Song” Praise Band that leads our contemporary worship on Saturday evenings. He is a graduate of Concordia University, Seward, Nebraska . Heidi Mielke serves as our Director of Christian Education with primary responsibility for our wide variety of education and fellowship ministries. She is a graduate of Concordia University, River Forest, Illinois, and came to Holy Cross in 1996 as our D.C.E. intern. She was called to serve full-time in 1997. Heidi and her husband, Matthew, are the proud parents of their 3 children: one son and twin daughters. Since 1999 Heidi has served in a part-time capacity.

Paul Groth joined our staff as Director of Worship in August 2005 with primary responsibility for our Worship Ministry Team, which includes: our weekend worship experience and the music ministry. Paul is a graduate of Concordia Universtiy, River Forest, Illinois, and has previously served congregations in Grand Haven, Michigan, and Lafayette, Indiana. Paul is married to Vicki and they have grown children.

Kent Scheiwe joined our staff in the fall of 2006 as our Faith Life Encourager. His primary role is to assist members in their Faith Life to ensure their growth in faith and the use of their Spiritual Gifts. Kent and his family were charter members of Holy Cross.

His family consists of his wife, Susan, and 4 daughters, Laura Warmke, Hannah, Marta, and Sarah.
