Do you feel things keep getting busier for you? Maybe it’s time to slow things down a little and devote some time to prayer and Bible study. Come join other young adults in their 20’s and 30’s who are taking time out to deepen their relationship with God. Meetings will be each week along with various social & service opportunities in which we can grow together as a group.
20/30 Vision Mission
Our mission is to provide an inviting environment in which young adults can develop friendships and strengthen faith while feeling a greater connection to the Lutheran church.
Goals
Make single adults feel a part of the Lutheran church
- Provide young adults with optional social & volunteer opportunities
- Meet people who share a desire to grow in their faith
- Strengthen faith through fellowship & Bible study
- Share and learn from each other’s experiences
- Create a sense of ownership, contribution to the church
Programming/Administration
- Meet weekly on Sunday nights at 6pm, Claddagh’s – Map for directions
- Continual invitation to single adults from 13 northside Lutheran Churches
- Use input from those attending to help determine future programming/social event planned
- Eventually establish a 20/30 Vision task force as membership grows
- Choose Bible Studies appropriate to 20’s and 30’s age group
Utilize resources from participating northside Lutheran congregations to provide a different leader for the study each week.
Current Study The fall study will be a “Forward in Faith” series from Concordia Publishing which will address a variety of topics including Balancing Work and Leisure, Job Pressures, Spiritual Gifts & Where we fit in, Why Join a Church?, Male & Female Identity, etc. The tentative schedule will be for the group to spend the first 15 -20 minutes ordering beverages and/or food. This will be followed by an opening prayer and a recap of the previous study including any personal experiences members may wish to provide. Each session will include a Bible reading and introduction to the scripture. Voluntary discussion will enhance each topic helping you relate lessons in scripture to life experiences. We will end the session with announcements and a closing prayer including any special prayer requests.
